True Love IS NOT a poison…

I’ve seen many love stories and some leave you in tears, especially the classic Nicolas Sparks’ film, The Notebook.

I’ve also seen many Chinese love stories where love was depicted but not so touching as this one. Of course it was translated as many are, but that didn’t stop the story from catching one’s interest. Of course it had the average story line; corrupt government trying to over throw the Kingdom and kill the Emperor and following the hero of the story, not to mention all the amazing fighting scenes and sword action.

Putting aside all of those things, what I loved was the love story between the warrior Zhuo Yihang and the white witch Lian Nishang. Their connection when they first caught each other’s eye gave me chills but not of the eerie kind. Whether or not they’re a real life couple, they had amazing chemistry which brought their love to life.

Toward the end when she remembered who he was because of the deep true love they had for each other, brought tears to both my mom eyes and mine, causing us to grab many tissues. When they jumped off the cliff to die with one another, that did it for us because they couldn’t live without each other. They were true soul mates to the point where they became a star in the heavens.

Wow. To have a love like that, must be amazing!

What more can be said, except for aww!

Happy Valentine’s Day to all those who have someone to love be it, a mate…a parent…a friend or even your pet.

I rate THE WHITE HAIRED WITCH OF LUNAR KINGDOM, this heart warming and romantic film, a loving
