All For One and One For All...

What can I say about this series that revolves around 4 gorgeous men running around in leather; shooting off their pistols and engaging in sword fights that are amazing!?

Hmm…let’s see.

BBC’s The Musketeers based on the well known story of Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D’artagnan begins a new twist and tale in this 3 season show.

Of course, the story begins with introducing the main Musketeers.

The acting of all the characters is superb and the story lines are truthful because the way of the warrior, is sometimes difficult for relationships. But in the last season, I’m glad they all managed to find the love of their lives and move on from their Musketeer lives. Especially poor Aramis. He finally gets to be with his love and his son, although he has to be discreet and distant from him.

The humor thrown in among the actors was adorable because they brought the characters to life. They all cared about each as a family and that was the most touching aspect.

Although I was disappointed that the series wasn’t renewed for a fourth season, I could see why. In these 3 entertaining seasons, they covered all their issues and wrapped up the villainous story plots within reason instead of stretching them out throughout the seasons. Each season focused on newer and more dangerous foes and situations which were perfectly blended together.

The series ended with no blanks or missing pieces. It was sad though, seeing their mentor, Captain and friend Treville giving his life to save his friends, but unfortunately that’s the way series’ work. Even in my own…a beloved character dies.

The fighting sequences were amazing and perfectly performed by everyone and kudos to the stunt choreographers.

The costuming too, captured the essence of the era and wow…did the men rock their leather uniforms! And the hats…gave that extra sexy Musketeer appeal! Especially Aramis ;)

I’m going to miss the theme song most of all but that’s okay because I have it set as my ringtone. Gets me every time.

My rating of BBC’s THE MUSKETEERS is an excellent 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

And mmm….Santiago Cabrera….oh, wow!
